Beginning in 2014, I began buying small plots of land in the development and doing speculative surveys of the sites, collecting information into an artists publication—each property becomes a unique book. The deed to the land is also contained within the publication. As public libraries collect the publication, the responsibility becomes theirs to take the book off the shelf each year, and pay the $6 in property taxes to keep the land secured as part of the artwork.
